Beans 'n' Weans - Prototype 1

Beans 'n' Weans is being remade in GameMaker and will probably release as Prototype 2 sometime in Q3.

Originally made for a Computer Science Non-Exam Assessment.

uh oh! something stupid is happening on stupidstreet, brooklyn!

beans are falling everywhere dude!!

take control of the two idiots, grungle or rungle, and move 'em around picking up boxes of beans and packets of sauce to fill up cans and feed the locals of stupidstreet, avoid the deadly hot bean sauce flooding out from the sewers and prove you can bean better than the other weans!

features:

• weird, kinda clunky gameplay inspired by wario's woods and dr. robotnik's mean bean machine
• powerups and sabotages to give you an edge in rounds
• endless mode and an unlockable ( and incomplete ) event mode for getting 2500 or more points in a round
• customisable games
• singleplayer and local versus
• no controller support (trollface)
• an inconsistent graphical style with a bunch of placeholders
  
• no music whatsoever because I'm not a composer
• quite a lot of bugs and performance issues
• beans

• probably not much more

prototype 1 notes:

I want to really stress this build is a piece of junk and you will probably barely have fun playing it. there are no special points yet like I plan to add so it is extremely time consuming and kinda boring to try and reach 2500 points so I really wouldn't recommend trying to do that especially since the mode it unlocks is very incomplete and will probably cause the program to crash.

if you want to try local versus mode you probably need Parsec or something similar unless you have real friends and also I don't think more than 2 players works at all so yeah don't do that.

incase you wanna delete your couple kilobytes of save data it's saved in your account's \AppData\Roaming folder.

because of a weird problem WPF applications seem to have which I haven't found a clear solution to yet, you are unable to stream this game on Discord. virtual cameras such as the one on OBS seem to bypass this issue so in the tiny chance you actually want to stream it to someone on discord just do that

should go without saying that this is for Windows only and probably will stay that way cuz you almost definitely can't just put WPFs on Mac or Linux out of the box.
